Curtis Stewart launched into his violin studies at the Diller Quale School of Music in New York City at the age of three, and after receiving a scholarship to the Mannes School of Music Preparatory Program, he went on to study there with Ms. Karen Stein, graduating with honors. While in high school, Curtis actively took his knowledge outside the classroom to organize and produce several community concerts of solo, duo, and quartet works.

Curtis has performed in many ensembles in the New York City area including the New England Symphonic Ensemble at Carnegie Hall, the Longar Ensemble in Merkin Hall, and the One-World Symphony at St. Paul the Divine, and with jazz cellist Akua Dixon at Aaron Davis Hall. In the summer of 2006, he was accepted into the National Repertory Orchestra, an intensive orchestra internship, as section violin and soloist. In 2003, he played with several chamber groups in City Hall and Gracie Mansion for New York City’s Mayor Bloomberg. Most recently, Curtis made an appearance with the "Soulful Symphony," an extension of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

Curtis is currently in his senior year at the Eastman School of Music majoring in violin performance and mathematics at the University of Rochester.
